Since moving to Scotland I've enjoyed some of the best wild trout and grayling fishing in the UK, in some of the loveliest places.

Chalkstreams and Southern England

The images below are from my previous life when I had a proper job and lived in London. My trout fishing was mainly on the Wiltshire chalkstreams on a Salisbury and District AA season ticket. Excellent value (hence the now-lengthy waiting list) and a great variety of fishing.

A grayling rise on the Wylye. I didn't see the vole until I uploaded the pics. Sneaky! A lovely trout from the Wylye. Size 18 olive parachute did the trick. A big stocked trout from the Wylye. On a 3wt and a18 emerger.
The River Bourne in Wiltshire. Wild, and very spooky fish... A wild Bourne brownie. Mayfly. A Stonking Bourne Grayling. A PB!! (Didn't weigh it). Mayfly. A Big Bourne Brownie. Thank heaven for E.Danica!
