In fishing, as with lots of things, location is paramount. And so here are the locations of some my favourite internet swims:

Media and Forums
Organisations
Useful info & places to fish
Tackle Suppliers
Miscellaneous

Media and Forums
Simply a brilliant site! Masses of information about fly fishing and casting, and very entertaining. The Board is world famous!
The Spey casting site.
Speyborn Simon Gawesworth is a legend in speycasting. He invented the Snake Roll for goodness sake - how cool is that? This is his site.
This is Fly An e-zine for the younger fly fishing er... dude...
Catch Magazine. Another e-zine, this time from Brian O'Keefe. Stunning photography. Just stunning...
The best UK FF-ing magazine.
The web site of the quirky, but entertaining and beautifully designed UK magazine for all rounders.
Organisations
Home of the best casting instructors in the UK!
They're only the governing body for game anglers in
Scotland - that's who!
The Federation of Fly Fishers. The international fly fishers organisation.
The only orgainsed group of pike fly fishers in the UK.
Useful Info and Places to Fish
Fish Scotland A brilliant site - you can find places to fish, check river levels, even book tickets.
SEPA River levels. Keep and eye on your favourite Scottish river levels.
Find out how wet, cold, and wind-blown you are going to get.
A superbly run small rainbow trout fishery half an hour from Edinburgh.
The site for Haddo trout fishery and all things fishy in Aberdeenshire. Haddo is another brilliant small rainbow trout fishery. Home of Barrio fly lines and tackle too!

Tackle Shops

Everything you'll ever need. Including dog beds and frilly frocks.
It's big. It's full of loads of shiny fishing kit. It's possibly the biggest tackle shop in the UK. It's in Glasgow.
Off the peg kit not doing it for you? Loads of lovely and unusual, but still superbly functional, rods, reels, nets, and god knows what from this friendly small independant dealer.

A good friend of mine - and not a bad caster! If you're near Banchory and need some casting tuition he's your man. Tell him I sent you.
Marc Fauvet's Blog. Marc is another good friend and great caster, living in the Pyrenees. "Fly Casting, Cheese, and a certain way of life". What's not to like?
Need a great portrait of your dog? Heather's the artist to do it. She can also help you with your casting!
